by admin last modified 2010-03-03 06:46

This seminar will get you past the rhetoric and the politics and give you an analysis of the implications for copyright law of two important recent cases: the iiNet case and the Telstra phone directories case.

Both cases involved a careful analysis of technology by the courts. To what extent were the outcomes in these cases affected by the technology concerned?

The speakers will look at the legal implications of the cases, and the extent to which the controversy surrounding each arises from the law and the facts.
