Copyright Symposium 2011
Australia’s premier copyright event – the biennial Copyright Law & Practice Symposium – returns to Sydney on October 13 -14.
This year’s international guests are Dr Francis Gurry, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), and William Patry, Senior Copyright Counsel for Google. Both keynote speakers will explore directions in global copyright reform.
From ISP liability, to the ‘crisis’ in authorship, to fair use, the 2011 Symposium will provide expert commentary on the pressure points for copyright in Australia, and worldwide, as it adapts to the digital revolution. Industry experts will also look at the latest online business models for music, film, books and news publishing.
The Copyright Law and Practice Symposium is jointly presented by the Australian Copyright Council and the Copyright Society of Australia.
